Jan Toorop!

Yesterday while visiting the Kröller-Müller Museum we accidentally, by artistic design! .... ran into the work of Jan Toorop. This Dutch / Indonesian artist born near Sumatra, studied art in the Netherlands & lived throughout Europe. This versatile artist works in a myriad of styles and media and we were all bowled over by his brilliance.

The Top of the Day is his Portret van Marie Jeanette de Lange, 1900
