Healing Warrior Masks -- from our own Elaine!

Image
Today we looked at radiation masks that were used in cancer treatment; they've been transformed into art by various artist in collaboration with the wearers. Elaine brought this amaaaaaaaazing exhibition to our attention. Her work was featured as the "face" of the whole show.  Top of the day has to be Elaine's mask created in collaboration with Kathy Colova. It really is the Show Stopper of this deeply personal and rich presentation.  Here's an article introducing the work from the Walter Art Gallery -- link --  Here is the link to the show; click on the photos and you will get a pop-up about each. -- link --  A great video of the exhibit for those who can't see it in person. Hopefully the video from Facebook will show -- link --
