Kröller-Müller Museum!

We finally vaulted our way into the Kröller-Müller Museum after talking about it many times! Here are a few of it's classic beauties:

Top of the Day is George Hendrik Breitner's Gust of Wind, 1886/1898 -- link --

Paul Signac, The Dining Room, Opus 152, 1886/1887 -- link --

Issac Israëls,  Transport of Colonial Soldiers, 1883/1884 -- link --

Van Gogh, The Sower, c. 17 - 28 June 1888 -- link --

Ruth sent this beautiful image of Millet's Sower painting, which we discussed because Van Gogh followed his techniques & stories for this series of paintings -- link --

Ruth added:

"Here’s the exhibit I saw in the Van Gogh Museum with paintings and drawings from Van Gogh and others.  At the bottom in the link is Millet’s other major one, Man with a Hoe, that’s at the Getty.  It’s great how artists openly influenced each other."

She added this funny addendum:

"Here’s one of my favorites from the exhibit- Siesta by Van Gogh.  Maybe it’s because my feet were hurting."
